Who is UV?
We are a pole and circus studio space in West end Toronto. We offer aerial and pole classes specializing in creative and sensual movement. Group classes for circus, pole, flexibility, dance and conditioning are available for folks of all body-types, genders and skill-levels with training ranging from beginner to advanced. We also offer private parties to celebrate your special occasion, private lessons for personal growth, events, rentals, open gym practice, and workshops to dive even deeper into niche aspects of our corner of the artistic movement world.
We are allies to queer folks and sex workers and honour the roots of both circus and pole via events, info sharing and our free practice for SWer’s every Wednesdays at 11am and 3pm (email us to hold your spot, no questions asked).

What to Expect
Entering a new space and trying out a new hobby can be a little nerve wracking. We want to make sure your first visit with us is a smooth and easy process. When you arrive at 300 Campbell Ave, head through the big glass doors and follow the stairs on the right to the first landing. From there walk through the hallway on your left and just after the industrial freight elevator, you’ll see our front door!
Inside you will be asked to take off your shoes and place them on the racks available, once you are ready check in with one of our team members to sign in. If you need to freshen up, our washroom is on your left when you enter our space.
We have two studios where our classes take place. The main room for silks, cirque and conditioning, and our pole room around the corner.
What to Bring
shorts for pole and lolli
water bottle
At UV we’ve got you covered! We have mats and spray bottles to keep everything fresh and clean. All you will need to bring is comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely and a water bottle to keep yourself hydrated throughout the class.
For Pole classes, it is not necessary but encouraged to bring knee pads especially when you are starting out. Please bring shorts to all your pole and lolli classes as you need your skin to stick on the pole.
In some cases, special events and classes may require you to bring other items. If you need any further clarification, do not hesitate to email or call us or check class descriptions.
Studio ETIQUETTE
At UV we do not tolerate any harmful behaviour in any form. We provide a safe space for all and take it very seriously. When you’re at our space please remain respectful, kind, and open-hearted.
Our studio is a shoe-less environment, this helps us keep the studio clean for you and our community. Please only wear your outdoor shoes at the entrance and take them off before coming in the space for class.
Help us maintain hygiene, and clean your mat/pole with our spray bottles after class. They are available in each studio, after using our towels, please place them in the hamper so we can wash them.
We encourage folks to film and create their memories/progression at UV, with that being said consent is very important to us. If you would like to document your experience, please ask folks around you if they’re okay being in your content first. If they say no, respect their boundaries and reposition your device if needed.
Although phones are allowed in class, we ask that they are on silent or airplane mode, as to not disrupt the flow of your class
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the equipment have a weight limit?
NO. Please don’t worry that you are “too heavy” for the equipment.
Do I need to be strong and flexible in order to take class?
NO. Our classes are prepared with the conditioning and flexibility exercises needed to complete your moves.
Do I need to register and pay in advance?
Yes. If you do just “show up” for class you run the risk of not getting a spot as class sizes are kept small for the best possible experience. Registration opens up 5 days before class time. You must pay in order to hold your spot.
Does UV do “pole sharing”?
UV does not do pole sharing. We have 8 poles in our studio and book a max of 8 people in class.
There is equipment sharing in some of our aerial classes. We have 6 aerial points in our studio and offer a max of 8 spots in each class.
What if I have pole/aerial experience?
Anyone with prior experience is welcome to to attend any of our skill level classes with “Beginner” in the title (Beginner 1 and 2) without an assessment. If you wish to attend a class that is higher than Beginner level you can book a free fitness assessment during one of our scheduled practices. Please email us to book yours!
